meetings and volunteer at events, whether you are a member or not. But

a quarterly newsletter by email and/or mail.

Voting: Each membership entitles
you to one vote. For example, if your family joins at the General member
level, your family is entitled to one vote for each votable issue or election.

and Insider Memberships are available only on a continuing basis to those
who have already met the criteria. To renew a Charter/Insider membership,
submit the General member dues and do not allow breaks in membership.

Friends of the Island Parks,
Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose purpose is
to provide educational, interpretive, and financial assistance to Caladesi
Island and Honeymoon Island State Parks. This group is recognized as a
citizen support organization by Florida Department of Environmental Protection,
Division of Recreation & Parks. Your conTRibution is tax-deductible
to the fullest extent of the law.
Membership Qualifications
Qualifications for membership
and the manner of their admission are that any person, including individuals,
families, and corporations with an interest in the purpose of the corporation,
shall become a member upon payment of the dues as provided by the By-Laws.
The board of directors, by majority vote of those present at any regular
or special meeting may, for cause and reasonable notice, terminate membership
or decline renewal. Friends of the Island Parks, Inc. shall provide for
equal membership and employment opportunities to all persons regardless
of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or natural origin. |
