Important Meeting Times:
  • Interpretive Staff Meeting: 

    • (at Osprey Center Trailer or Nature Center - call Karen Malo to confirm time and location prior to your arrival - subject to change due to park staffing and ranger duties.) 
    2nd Thursday of month, 12:30 p.m. (Appx. 1 hour)
     
  • Friends CSO Board Meeting: 

    • (at Nature Center) 
    3rd Tuesday of month, 6:30 p.m. 
     
  • Friends CSO General Meeting: 

    • (at Nature Center) 
    4th Tuesday of month, 7:00 p.m. (Appx. 1 Hour)
     
  • Monthly Recreational Outings: 

    • This fun recreation day is for all volunteers, park staff and concessions staff, as well as Friends of the Island Parks members, and all our friends and families. It is held on the Saturday following the Friends General Meeting (which is held on the 4th Tuesday of month.) - Call the nature center for current activity description and meeting place/time as this changes each month depending on the activity chosen. There is a sign-up sheet in the Nature Center at the front desk.

    Logging Volunteer Hours: - You can log and submit volunteer hours any of three ways:
    • Enter Hours Online - Submit your hours using online form. (Preferred method - save a tree!)
    • PDF Printout - Print and hand write hours worked on paper, give to volunteer coordinator or drop off at toll booth or nature center.
    • Excel File - Enter hours on your computer using Microsoft Excel, then print,  give to volunteer coordinator or drop off at toll booth or nature center.
