Explanations
for Above Info & Work Categories
Month/Year - The month
and year to which the hours apply. Total hours are per month.
Last Name and First Name
-The last and first name of the volunteer who completed the hours.
Email -Email address
of the volunteer.
Friends of the Island
Parks Member -Check whether you are a member of the citizen support
organization. If you check Yes, then the volunteer hours total will be
included in the CSO totals.
Administration -Time
spent helping with office or computer work or other administrative tasks.
Campground Host -Time
spent helping campers/resident volunteers.
Construction -Time
spent on new structures (building, painting), or installing new plumbing
or wiring.
Interpretation -Time
spent giving or developing interpretive programs.
Maintenance -Time
spent painting and fixing things like boardwalks, plumbing, structures,
and wiring.
Research -Time spent
researching environmental issues and information for use by park personnel.
Resource Management
-Time spent on flora and fauna survey, exotic removal, and prescribed burning.
Special Events -Time
spent organizing, preparing for, staffing, and tearing down park events.
Trail/Campground Maintenance
-Time spent cleaning beaches and trails and maintening campsites.
Total -Enter the
total hours for the park for the month.
Worksheet
We have created a Microsoft
Excel 2002 worksheet to use to track your daily hours if you'd like. The
worksheet includes instructions and a basic sheet for Honeymoon Island,
Caladesi and Nature Center hours. Feel free to copy the worksheet to your
hard drive and modify it as needed to make hours recording easy for you.
Technical Note: For your security, the worksheet does not have any "macros".
